What it is about

Under what conditions?

Over the network and without logging in. This is the most dangerous combination: attackers can scan reachable devices automatically.

What can happen in the worst case

An attacker could use the vulnerability to

  • vertrauliche Informationen offenzulegen
  • beliebigen Code auszuführen
  • einen Denial of Service Zustand herbeizuführen
  • Sicherheitsmaßnahmen zu umgehen
  • Daten
  • Informationen zu manipulieren
  • seine Privilegien zu erweitern

Am I affected?

Affected according to the BSI:

  • Debian Linux
  • NetApp ActiveIQ Unified Manager
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Red Hat FUSE <7.11.0
  • IBM Operational Decision Manager
  • EMC Avamar
  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1
  • Hitachi Ops Center
  • IBM QRadar SIEM
  • IBM QRadar SIEM 7.5
  • IBM QRadar SIEM 7.4
  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform <7.1.10

and 4 more

The installed version is usually shown under “Help → About” or in the device’s admin interface.

What helps?

Update to at least:

  • Red Hat FUSE 7.11.0
  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 7.1.10
  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 7.3.13
  • Atlassian Bitbucket 10.0.2
  • Atlassian Bitbucket 8.19.25 (LTS)
  • Atlassian Bitbucket 9.4.13 (LTS)

Is the vulnerability already being exploited?

None of the CVEs is in the CISA catalogue of exploited vulnerabilities. That does not mean there are no attacks, only that none are documented.
