What it is about

Under what conditions?

Over the network and without logging in. This is the most dangerous combination: attackers can scan reachable devices automatically.

What can happen in the worst case

An attacker could use the vulnerability to

  • Dateien zu manipulieren oder Sicherheitsvorkehrungen zu umgehen

Am I affected?

Affected according to the BSI:

  • IBM AIX 7.3
  • IBM VIOS 4.1
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Fedora Linux
  • Ubuntu Linux
  • SUSE Linux
  • Oracle Linux
  • Gentoo Linux
  • IBM SPSS Modeler
  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.10
  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.11
  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.12

and 16 more

The installed version is usually shown under “Help → About” or in the device’s admin interface.

What helps?

Update to at least:

  • Open Source Python 3.13.4
  • Open Source Python 3.12.11
  • Open Source Python 3.11.13
  • Open Source Python 3.10.18
  • Open Source Python 3.9.23
  • IBM QRadar SIEM 7.5.0 UP13
  • Dell Secure Connect Gateway Appliance 5.32.00.18
  • IBM Cognos Analytics 12.1.3 FP2
  • IBM Cognos Analytics 12.0.4 FP3

Is the vulnerability already being exploited?

None of the CVEs is in the CISA catalogue of exploited vulnerabilities. That does not mean there are no attacks, only that none are documented.
