WID-SEC-2025-2420 · first 28.10.2025 · updated 18.09.2026 · CVSS 8,8
What it is about
Apache Tomcat ist ein Web-Applikationsserver für verschiedene Plattformen. Ein entfernter, authentisierter oder anonymer Angreifer kann mehrere Schwachstellen in Apache Tomcat ausnutzen, um beliebigen Programmcode auszuführen, Sicherheitsmaßnahmen zu umgehen, Daten zu manipulieren und einen Denial-of-Service-Zustand zu verursachen.
Under what conditions?
Over the network, but only with valid access (login required), for example with stolen credentials or as an insider.
What can happen in the worst case
An attacker could use the vulnerability to
- beliebigen Programmcode auszuführen
- Sicherheitsmaßnahmen zu umgehen
- Daten zu manipulieren
- einen Denial-of-Service-Zustand zu verursachen
Am I affected?
Affected according to the BSI:
- Debian Linux
- Amazon Linux 2
- IBM Power Hardware Management Console
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- SUSE Linux
- Red Hat JBoss Web Server
- Oracle Linux
- SUSE openSUSE
- RESF Rocky Linux
- Apache Tomcat <10.1.47
- Apache Tomcat <11.0.12
- Apache Tomcat <9.0.110
and 16 more
The installed version is usually shown under “Help → About” or in the device’s admin interface.
What helps?
Update to at least:
- Apache Tomcat 10.1.47
- Apache Tomcat 11.0.12
- Apache Tomcat 9.0.110
- IBM QRadar SIEM 7.5.0 UP14 IF01
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5 LTSS
