What it is about

Under what conditions?

Only with access to the device or an account on it. Often the second step after a phishing email.

What can happen in the worst case

An attacker could use the vulnerability to

  • Sicherheitsvorkehrungen zu umgehen
  • Informationen offenzulegen

Am I affected?

Affected according to the BSI:

  • Google Container-Optimized OS
  • Debian Linux
  • Amazon Linux 2
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Fedora Linux
  • Ubuntu Linux
  • SUSE Linux
  • SUSE openSUSE
  • IBM MQ operator
  • Red Hat OpenShift API for Data Protection
  • Open Source docker <v29.3.1
  • Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh <3.1.7

and 2 more

The installed version is usually shown under “Help → About” or in the device’s admin interface.

What helps?

Update to at least:

  • Open Source docker v29.3.1
  • Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh 3.1.7
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Multicluster Global Hub 1.5.4
  • Dell Secure Connect Gateway 5.36.00.16

Is the vulnerability already being exploited?

None of the CVEs is in the CISA catalogue of exploited vulnerabilities. That does not mean there are no attacks, only that none are documented.
